Recently, I’ve been really inspired by classic book covers from the late 1800s.

May it be the gold foil or the way the designs use elements from the stories in careful patterns, I’ve been drawn to them a lot when I design my own covers. From the examples above, From the Earth to the Moon and Floral Kingdom emulate much of the style I often imagine and draw inspiration from.
For this cover I made for The Vengeance of the Knight, I wanted to draw on some of these elements while also playing homage to some classic fantasy illustration vibes.

Featuring greenery, a golden sword and couple, and a dark green background, the cover is mostly reflected on both sides, with the exception of the knight and the lady.
